A Publish2 network

Do any news sites here track clicks on outbound links? I'm curious if there's anything worthwhile to be learned from (or done with) that data... I mean, Google does it to measure the value of the links they provide...

I've found the book "Web Analytics" by Google guru Avinash Kaushik extremely insightful. Also, he's a good speaker and there are loads of clips of him on YouTube. If there's data to be mined and measured from web traffic, this guy gives you countless ways to get at it and make use of it.
