Hi all,

I posted these for critique in the audio slideshow group, but I wanted to post them here too. All audio was recorded with a relatively cheap Olympus digital recorder, this time without the mic (I normally use one connected through an xlr to miniphone cable.) But even still, with this and audacity and one digital SLR body, can you can do quite a bit.
Edit time on the veteran project audio took about 1 1/2 hours, whole project was completed in about three hours. For the rally, which was on deadline, about 45 minutes.

So here is how you can put out an event listing/story in a very very different way. Instead of telling people the nuts and bolts of an event first -- in this case a charity ride of military families -- show people why they should care instead. This was a quick 10 minute interview, a few portrait shots of the organizer, and past file photos of the event we already had in our system. Done in Soundslides, an Olympus DS recorder, Audacity, Photoshop, and a looped intro to some cool music.

The veteran project was terrific. And on a quick turn around too. The slideshow worked nicely with the audio. Just the right touch.
