In May 2009, I graduated with honors from Cal State Fullerton(CSUF) with a double degree in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science.
During my time as a student, I was a reporter and anchor for the Award-Winning Newscasts at the CSUF campus TV Station-- Titan TV. I also held internships with CNN at their Los Angeles Bureau, and at WUSA-TV, the CBS affiliate station in Washington DC.
I was named one of the top 100 College Journalists in the United States for the 2008-2009 school years by UWire 100, and I'm a recipient of a CNN Scholars award, given to the top 25-minority journalism students in the nation, thanks to CNN and the National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ).
I'm the first person ever to be elected to serve as Student Representative on the National Board of both the National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ) and the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ).
Hey girl! I'm doing fine. Busy with web design midterms. Ugh...web designing is not easy. Though it is something that I feel is going to be an asset to my journalism background. What's going on with you? Are you going to PR in June? I'll be there...can't wait to have a good time with all my reporter friends. The ones who can make it. Great place to network...What are you doing now?
