- I was bitten by the journalism bug at the ripe old age of 13 when an article I wrote for the junior high newspaper sparked a lunchroom food fight. I never looked back.
My experience includes a fellowship with the Poynter Institute for Media Studies, a brief stint at a Kansas City suburban daily and most recently, two years at the St. Joseph News-Press.
I recently left the daily newspaper grind to pursue full-time freelancing. I'm not working for anyone in particular, but I'm still hunting for those great stories.
