You're a journalist who realized programming isn't that hard, or software engineer with a passion for journalism. Either way, you want to create and couple together software (and hardware) to create new ways to tell compelling stories.

I'd recommend a 1 page layout in PDF too (that's what you seem you're thinking). One page is more confortable, easy to print, and PDF ensures you that no matter what operating system or software the reader is using, your resumé is going to look fine…

It is interesting, indeed. I think there is an opportunity in these kinds of cooperatives or associations, even if you're not an ex-LA Times or one of the 50 best canadian writers :)

There is a similar thing in Canada, the Canadian writers group. It's a pretty exclusive agency, since they only accept the best and most established freelance writers as members. The concept is interesting, though. http://www.canadianwritersgroup.c
