I've been quiet here since I took my buyout from The Post and Courier in August, but now that I'm more or less self-sustaining as a freelancer/consultant, I've been feeling a great freedom to write more openly about the business and what I see ahead of us.

What if that idea -- a device that would link print to Web in an easy, user-friendly way -- was just waiting for the right technology?
What if that technology was already among us, just waiting for a tweak and a business plan?
What if that technology was a smart phone?
