There's a core group of about 20 people and even more volunteers that come and go as time allows them to. It's been great so far, we're just getting it off the ground and using the web site to break some news within the next two weeks or so, sort of as proof of concept while we write grants for the printing operations.
Sorry I didn't get to your comment until just now. I'm interning at the Public Press and loving it to death. But mostly because I'm more interested in the structure of a new media venture than anything else. I'm doing some marketing and graphics and business planning and grantwriting... basically any area where my skills can be put to use. Stoll's awesome, too.
Have you been thinking about doing your internship there too?
I've got two editing classes (magazine and news), then a marketing and accounting class for my business minor.
I think it's a smart move to have journalism as your minor. I thought about switching mine around, but frankly the journalism classes interested me far more. :-)
Joe!! Good hear from you dude. Hanford's well and stinky as ever, if you know what I'm talking about. I'm proud of you bein back in school, seeking edumacation in journalism. I have no doubt you'll do great! You showed a great potential when worked with us. Hit us back a comment anytime you feel like. Until then, peace bro.
I don't think I am going to make it, there are just not enough hours in the week right now.... Thanks for letting me know though. I told Anne and she seemed interested.

I am a learning journalist, doing some freelancing for community newspapers in San Jose and working on production at Victory Lane Magazine. I go to SJSU and am contemplating pulling a double major in photo and journo.
