I am an adjunct instructor at a local community college and I do work as a freelance media manager and special events coordinator, as my other passion on the side.
I created and manage several blogs:
http://lifestyle30.wordpress.com (music, television, politics, events for the 30 & Over Crowd)
http://hollabackblog.wordpress.com (political and social commentary)
I am a contributing writer for the following blogs:
http://www.thefreshxpress.com (I am a cultural critic providing music and entertainment reviews)
http://awomans-worth.blogspot.com (I run a series called Bougie On A Budget)
http://cheri-thomas.blogspot.com (political and social commentary)
http://www.thecreatingwealthblog.com (I run a series called Bougie On A Budget)
My business blog is:
http://ivywritermedia.wordpress.com (Highlights and Updates about my business)
I am the founder of Ivy Writer Media, and I provide publicity, and unique events for artists (visual, writers, and performance artists), music and artist promotion on social network sites, create and manage newsletters and blogs, resume writing, editing, and research.
website: www.ivywritermedia.com
Since it takes time to navigate online social network sites and to create and manage blogs, fan groups, set up and coordinate online events and invitations, I assist artists (visual, authors/writers, and performance) and small businesses with online publicity and promotion of their company. I do what I like to call, "Purposeful Public Relations", by purposefully placing articles, blog posts, events, and images on social network sites and creating free publicity or a "buzz" about them.
With my work, I believe that we should follow our passions and my motto is: "Here On Earth, God's Work Must Truly Be Your Own" (Dick Goodwin, Speechwriter).
This is my motto for both personal and business endeavors. If we love the work we do despite the income, then we know that we have truly found our purpose, our passion, and our calling. I believe that writing is my gift and that I should share it with others.
With that said, I am always looking to make new social and business connections with like-minded people and I look forward to doing that here.
