Quality audio on the cheap
I'm pondering buying an audio recorder of my own since the paper doesn't have nearly enough to go around. Cost is a significant issue. Can anyone recommend something that's cheap but provides quality audio? If it matters, we do most of our audio editing in Audacity.

Comment by Greg Linch on January 28, 2008 at 11:41pm - I bought an Olympus DS-30 a few weeks ago and it gets really good quality audio for a $130 recoder. The Zoom Handy Recorder H2 has been mentioned as an affordable (~$200), easy-to-use and high-quality option on a few journalism blogs.
