I know of these - I like them too. Widgetbox give me more control and gives you tools to build a facebook application and NING open social app as well. Haven't checked out SW to see if they offer that. What other widget makers do people like? I like Dashcode for developing OSX dashboard apps, for example. I hope we get something similar to develop iPhone apps soon.

Hey Robb, if you're going to continue experimenting on this front, check out SpingWidgets (I use them on my own site). They have a similar approach to widgetbox but with a cleaner look and more dynamic feel.

Here I am! Thanks, Robb! Adding the Facebook App now. I nosed around some of the opensocial gadgetry that ning offers, but hadn't seen anything as functional as this yet.

Just click on the blue blox "Get widget" and you'll options to add it your blog or e-mail it or get the code to cut and paste it on your own Web page.
If ryan is reading this - it is possible to get a Ning (Open Social) version as well and then you can add it in using the Widgets box in the admin panel.
