Gawker has a painfully funny post about
misleading and/or plain bizarre headlines from CNN. When you're pulling your hair out trying to get the most compelling and Search Engine Optimized (SEO) headline on that story, take heart and check out these, um, gems. Even a news goliath like CNN has its off moments.
Some of my favorites:
Baby pandas! Baby pandas! Baby pandas!—Just imagine the Google ranking on that one. You get the key phrase in there
three times! (A quick Google search reveals that it's not even on the first or second page of results though. Interesting!)
In space, 'you can't go to Home Depot'— one wonders what kind of search term you'd need to get a hit on this story, something like "space + Home Depot"? ...Why would you
ever search that?
