Wired Journalist as resumé extension

We've all heard of potential employers Googling or doing a Facebook check on job applicants. I wonder when net-savvy newspaper hiring folk are going to start plumbing the pages of Wired Journalists? (Maybe they already have.)

It seems to me that this site offers a great way to take a reading on potential hire: profiles, a range of blog posts, comments on various discussion, uploaded videos and photos, and even an individual's group memberships would enable someone to start building a picture of the person behind the resumé.
