Wired Journalists

A Publish2 network

While Sunshine Week doesn't officially begin for another 15 minutes or so, a quick Google search suggests news organizations across the country are gearing up for an active week both in print and online. As the creator -- there's a term I never thought I would get to use in this business -- of the Sunshine Week group on WJ, I just wanted to encourage participants to share some of the things they have planned for the week.

At The Telegraph in Nashua, NH, we kicked off the week with a front-page story on an audit of public documents at area school districts, an AP story updating legislative attempts to revise our Right-to-Know Law, an editorial, an op-ed piece written by me (here's a link to the blog version) and an assortment of personal essays on the importance of open government that we solicited from members of our Reader Advisory Network.

I'll post some links on the Sunshine Week group blog tomorrow and encourage others to do the same.
