Wired Journalists

A Publish2 network

After going to the recent ACP convention in Washington DC, I've been thinking about a couple things. 1. I could totally see myself riding a bike going to work in DC and 2. I would like to further continue my education in photojournalism, but I am a little unsure what colleges offer degrees in that field. At the end of '08 I will have my AFA in Photography. I know working as a photojournalist is much more than going to school, and I know working and interning for newspapers/magazines will be a much more important component. So if anyone knows a list of schools for a BFA in Photojournalism, or has a story about themselves regarding photos/school/jobs/whatever I am all open ears. Thanks.

P.S. I also am very into Fine Art photography and could also see myself going to an art school out in europe. How well do you think a BFA in photography would translate to work at newspaper/or magazine publication ? (keep in mind also having the degree from another country).

Thanks.

Hey Nick,

Glad you enjoyed my site.

As you probably know it's a tough time to be a photojournalist looking for work.

I went to Ohio University and would highly recommended it to anyone looking to grow as a storyteller.

If you have any specific questions feel free to drop me a line.

Good luck with things,
Tim
