
Camp VJ is coming to Orlando to deliver three full days of hands-on video journalism training.
Camp Video Journalism is a hands-on and very practical three day video journalism workshop designed for reporters carrying video cameras. (The training is produced by
Visual Editors, a non-profit charity and social network of visual journalists.)
Come to learn:
-- Fundamentals of camera usage
-- Shooting sequences
-- How to gather audio
-- Elements of visual stories
-- Writing scripts, recording voice overs and editing scenes
-- Final Cut shortcuts and workflows
-- Compressing, uploading and filing videos for Web
Participants will film, edit and post videos and get group and individual critiques.
Who is this designed for?
Reporters carrying cameras, journalism educators, photo managers, photojournalists, web producers, and front line editors.
Requirements:
Participants will bring their own portable kit to the classroom. But if all you have is a digital video camera, you can come to this event - the classroom has macs with video editing software. (
