Sole Survivor
Years ago, southeastern Massachusetts was home to hundreds of shoe factories. Today, there are only two. One of them -- the Alden Shoe Co. in Middleborough, MA -- is one of the only American footwear companies that still makes all of their shoes in the United States. (These days, 99% of all footwear sold in the US is produced overseas.)
