I am a half-Thai, half-American Foreign Service brat who has been fortunate enough to live and travel around the world thanks to my father's 30-year career with the U.S. State Department. Currently, I am a graduate student at Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism, and I will finish my master's program in December 2008. Prior to moving to Chicago in January I lived in the Northern Virginia/Washington DC area where I worked as a reporter for a local weekly newspaper called The Connection for two and a half years. Before that, I spent five years in New York City where I worked as bartender, a freelance music writer, a marketing assistant for the TV Guide Channel, a tour publicist for RCA Records, and an intern for Rolling Stone magazine.
