I'm a senior newspaper journalism major at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. I'm interning as an editorial assistant at AARP The Magazine in Washington, D.C. through the American Society of Magazine Editors' internship program. AARP The Magazine is the world's largest circulating magazine with 23.5 million copies being distributed worldwide. Yes, we do multimedia! I swear.
After I leave D.C. in August, it's my responsibility to make sure the staff of our student-run newspaper doesn't get stuck in the next day newspaper mentality. We're not just writing for the next day's paper. We're writing for the next minute's Web update.
Sad statement about my Internet obsession: I saw you had joined WJ on the twitter feed for Wired Journalists. (http://twitter.com/wiredj/statuses/826252692)
