About Me:
I'm currently working as a Producer/Writer for CNN International's Special Projects division - responsible for creating and producing regular weekly and monthly segments, sponsored interstitials, current event specials and long-form documentaries. My work entails field and post producing, writing, shooting and editing. I am also a photographer and animal welfare/enviromental activist. I like traveling around the world with my Sony Z1U and Canon Rebel XTi filming/documenting/sharing in order to raise awareness and make a difference.

In 2007, I produced many long-form documentaries including two airline specials with Richard Quest... "Battle For The Skies" and "Superjumbo in The Sky: First Flight of the A380". Back in February I produced the "The Next Generation" one-hour program in Davos, Switzerland. In March, I was covering "Eye on India" week and the one-hour "India's Generation Next" program. April came and so the Larry King Live 50 years in Television - Viewers Choice Specials. In the summer, I started producing I-Report features; hurricane coverage in August when Hurricane Dean struck Mexico's Caribbean coast and in Belize. November and December, I was in Africa and will produce a segment early 2008 looking at some of Rwanda's rehabilitation and reconstruction projects. Since the genocide, the entire political structure has changed, for the better! My last big documentary in 2007 was the "Defining Moments 2007" special: an hour long program looking back on the good and bad that made headlines in '07. A few of my sponsored year-long projects included: Be The Change, Eco Solutions, CNN Heroes, All About Africa. I suggest you check out the CNN.com/BeTheChange website and get ready for CNN.com/Heroes in 2008.

In 2006, I successfully created, wrote and produced two new sponsorable feature segments for CNN International's weekend newscasts: a global lifestyle report called "In The Life" and a music profile segment called "Notes". I continue to produce "Notes" - which is a unique self-contained nat-sound feature. I research, plan and produce shoots, book crews, interview musicians and package produce the segments. Featured artists on "Notes" include: Bruce Hornsby, Jamie Cullum and Snow Patrol.

Over the past few years at CNNI I worked on the following half-hour feature programs: "The Music Room"(2002-2004), "Insight"(2004-2005) and "Inside Africa"(2005).

As a producer for "The Music Room" series, I was responsible for researching, writing, field & post-producing and often editing, dozens of packages on top music artists, including conducting interviews and shooting live performances. I also wrote and tracked the weekly music news segment called "The Music Wire".

While on "Inside Africa" as associate producer, I produced our "Live 8" one-hour special. The work entailed booking interviews with major African musicians, contacting concert organizers, resolving accreditation, satellite feeds and behind the scenes access, communicating with correspondents and field producers, package producing and writing show links for live broadcast.

In 2003, I created, researched, wrote, produced and tracked two weekly segments for CNNRadio: "Good News" and "Music News". They ran every week for more than a year.

Overall, I am pleased with my accomplishments at CNN, and I have a strong desire to continue to take on new challenges, responsibilities and improve my knowledge of current events. I hope to continue creatively producing feature programs and providing high quality information, news and insight to our viewers.

I've created and launched a new weekend feature program on CNN Interntaional - which I will produce weekly. Here is the information - you can get involved:

"iReport For CNN" is the first interactive, international weekly half-hour tv news program featuring iReporters - citizen journalists - and the stories BEHIND the scenes at CNN.

"iReport For CNN" features the week's best viewer-submitted content from iReport.com. It's your videos, your pictures - your stories.

"iReport For CNN" allows people from around the globe to contribute pictures and video of either a breaking news story or a slice of life from their own towns and neighborhood.

"iReport For CNN" is a fast-paced, first-person news show. We’ll cross platforms, cross continents. We’ll go inside CNN and show stories told by you.

The program is hosted by CNN's award-winning anchor Michael Holmes. He is the first Australian anchor for CNN International and has reported extensively from all over the world.

In "iReport For CNN", Michael gives viewers an "all access" pass inside CNN and showcases the week’s best "iReports" with exclusive eyewitness interviews.

Submit your news stories, photos and videos from anywhere to iReport.com - and look out for it on CNN International's "iReport For CNN".

Send it to iReport.com - see it on CNN.
