Looks like Ernesto may have answered your question, but I feel your pain. Tried to start up a Sunshine Week group with little success. Tried a general blog item and three postings within the group, but only got a couple of bites. Probably the wrong venue for open government, but I was hoping to hear back from some people who were doing some interesting stuff on the Web or with multimedia. Live and learn ...

Sorry, meant to answer your question, too -- I never check the boards for questions. If I get an email or a text message that lets me know someone I know has asked a question (whether posed just to me or to a whole group of people including me), I'll go look at it. But unprompted? Never. It wouldn't occur to me.

Peru? Awesome. Have you been practicing your Spanish? Marathon? Very cool! You running it to finish or do you have a time you're aiming for?

I ran my first half marathon this February in Hampton and am aiming to run a whole one at the end of the summer. Running a 10K out in Holyoke this weekend.

I think the key is that the tool has to let the other person know when you have posted a question. If I had gotten an email when you posted the slideshow question, I would have seen your name and wanted to respond. Just as I did with your comment... I got an email when you commented, not when you questioned... perhaps a failure of the tool. Facebook or LinkedIn would have sent me a notification both situations, I think... Hey, how's life?

Nice to see a Telegraph alum on board, even if he pulled for the wrong side in the Super Bowl. As you can see from our Web site and the broad participation of staffers on these pages, we've made a strong commitment to the online/multimedia side of the business, thanks primarily to the talents of people like Ernesto Burden on the digital media side, and Damon Kiesow and Don Himsel in the newsroom. As the editor at the time, I had the sincere pleasure of getting out of the way and allowing Damon and Don to do their thing. Best management decision I ever made.
