I got back into journalism five years ago after a hiatus of several years. Earlier in my career I worked a total of about nine years as a reporter and sportswriter at three newspapers in Oregon and Arkansas and at the AP in Spokane. I'm originally from Kansas City, but have lived in the Northwest most of the past 20 years and really like it out here.
