Matt, I'm curious about how AP stories are typically conceived, and I'm wondering if maybe you could clue me in.
(I'm researching one that seems odd - sounds like a ton of effort went into it, involving multiple people and public records requests, and it's not clear that anything useful resulted - and I really wish I had a better feel for what sort of decisionmaking goes on, that may have led to it.)
